Friday, July 15: Sarah Greene with Gaye Zimmerman-Huycke at Tranzac

My monthly Tranzac residency is back: this Friday, July 15 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm with Gaye Zimmerman-Huycke and Tania Gill on piano!

My Tranzac residency rolls on as summer is at peak delightfulness. A quick note that if you come by for the show, there is also a patio this week in the club’s Green P Parking lot for Fringe (Fringe’s POSTSCRIPT Patio); so consider checking that out before or after.

I’ll play an opening set at 7:30 pm, backed by Tania Gill on piano; then my July special guest Gaye Zimmerman-Huycke will knock your socks off with her songs. I have known Gaye for nearly twenty years (!) as she is part of a truly musical, magical family. But her songwriting only came into full view more recently, as she’s been sharing songs that often sound like they could be a hundred years old.

Gaye Zimmerman-Huycke is a singer/songwriter and guitarist who has been playing in bands since she was 16 and writing and singing songs nearly all her life. She has sung professionally for children and their families for the last twenty-five years. Gaye is currently a member of the wee Scottish band Calendon County and in the big pick-up band Gordon’s Acoustic Living Room, which has a long-running residency at Free Times Cafe. She is thrilled to be playing her songs in Tranzac’s Southern Cross Lounge.

Doors: 6:30 pm

PWYC (pass the hat) as always. Hope to see you there!
